About Travelled So Far
One of our family goals is to explore the world with our kids.
Partly to teach them more about the world as we know that not everything can be covered in a classroom.
But, also to help them understand that coming from a white middle-class family how privileged they are and to develop empathy and understanding of how others live.
Doing this we are sharing our tips, destination guides and more with you so if you choose similarly you have the resources you need to do similar.

We are a family of 4 meet us below
Travelled So Far Mum
Cerys is “Mum”, a marine biologist, teacher and blogger (over on Rainy Day Mum). She is our well-travelled budget backpacker.
Having lived in Costa Rica in the jungle, a tent on a beach in Greece and backpacked solo around Egypt at 19 she’s our adventurous one and takes the lead on some of our more adventurous destinations.
Wherever we travel she leads us to look at the natural world, the culture and it’s like having your own personal teacher as she shares with the family what she has read, discovered and learnt along the way.
Travelled So Far Dad
Dad is the opposite of Cerys, before they met the most adventurous had been learning to Snowboard in the French Alps or laying on a beach somewhere in Europe.
Since they met back in 2004 he has explored more than ever. From sailing in the Caribbean, to taking the kids skiing, camping in a tent and road trips big and small.
Although you’ll find him planning the next family trip to Walt Disney World he’s taking little steps to be more adventurous with the travels.

The kids! Two of them!
The boy, J is the eldest of the 2. He was born in 2009 and wants to be a jungle explorer. He’s aim is to visit as many places as possible.
Although less adventurous than his sister with a little boost in confidence you can find him joining in with all of the activities just like her!
T, is the youngest born in 2011. She’s adventurous and will storm ahead to try things out.
She’s our little water baby, she dreams of being an ocean warrior when she grows up and her aim is to visit Antarctica and the Arctic too!
